Has anyone heard of this?
So I was outside working on my car and my neighbor stopped by. He has a Dodge Dakota R/T with a Kenny Bell (I think that's the name) Supercharger and a ton of other goodies. So we were talking and he was telling me a little trick you can do with Dodge cars. While you are driving, if you turn the key forward like you are trying to start it, you will bypass the rev limiter. He said he could get his truck going 220mph. I was kinda like "yeah right" but didn't say anything. I just wanted to know if this was true or not.
i have NEVER heard of that... also... 220 mph out of a Dakota... R/T, supercharged (and yes Kenny Bell makes superchargers)... 220 mph?? i would tend to think your neighbor is [sm=icon_blah.gif]

There is a trick that I know of that you can do with the HEMI, if you turn the key a certian way it will by pass the governor or someting but will shut down the spedo and all the gauges but you will keep increasing speed, as for 220mph I think he just added that to make his truck look good.
Make that 220 mph falling out of an Air Force C-130 ( or C-5, or C-17) in a DIVE. Preferably without "Barneydriver" inside!!![sm=icon_rock.gif]
Ok, so you can do that. I know, 220 is a bit ridiculous. When he said that, I was just thinking to myself "yeah right", maybe in a Formula 1 car or something. He was just telling me about the key thing because he was wondering if I can do it in my car. I was like never heard of that and I probably will never try it.
Yeah I know another trick, get the car goin to about 65-70.......................................then throw it in reverse, instant blown transmission. I think all that would do it to grind the starter on the flywheel.
