AGP & ATP PIPES?
Usually if the Maunfacturer starts getting "serious" complaints and they really do know the dealer personnel through their factory reps, the simple threat of action by the manufacturer will get pretty immediate action from the dealer. It's rare to have a whole barrel of bad apples all at once but I'm sure it could happen.
Management is the problem in cases like this though because as I said, they turned a blind eye to it. In my 8 years as a service manager I fired 12-15 bad apples because I and the other employee's didn't have time to waste fixing the ******** problems, and I couldn't allow one idiot rip off artist to ruin the livelihoods of the other 30 of us working there.
That's why they have the saying that "Mechanics tool boxes are on wheels for a reason", it's because if they want to rip people off it's easier for them to roll their box out of the place than for me and the rest of the place to put up with them.
I gave a 6 hour job to a mechanic one day at about 11:00 A.M. He told me he had to leave at noon, but I needed the work done that day and since he hadn't requested any time off I told him I expected him to finish it before he left. He had his friend, another Technician that worked there help him with the job and turned it in as complete at noon when he left. I took the next hour with the Shop foreman looking over the job, finding the shortcuts they tookand fired both of them the next morning as soon as they walked in.

i broke a vacuum line and called the dealer. i talked to a tech, told him the issue and he told me to come in and he would give me a hand. so i show up and that tech wasnt there. so i pull in the garage and the manager walks out and was the biggest gerk in the world. all i needed was for them to show me which part i needed to order to fix the problem, or the tech that i talked to told me that he would give me a way to rig it since the part was prob. a 200$ part. that a**hole for a manager would'nt even let them look at the car. so i finally go and pull a tech aside and asked him to show me which part i needed to order so they could fix the car and he was a complete dick as well. so he gave me a T-valve to make it work after havin an attitude and told me that he wasnt touchin the damn thing cause it was too hot and i wasnt payin them (car under warranty). so i put 10$ in his pocket cause he had to actualy remove the air filter hose and he completely changed his tone. afer that he was sayin "aw man id be glad to put it on, but its so hot", "sorry i couldnt do more for you"...the whole time the manager was just lookin at me and throwin rude comments. just one experience out of many for me....sorry it was so long and not that interesting!
