this maybe an incredibly stupid question so if it is please to make too much fun of me....but can we put an internal wastegate on out cars. i found one for 80$ and was wandering if it would work
What do you mean by "Internal Wastegate?" Did you mean External? Technically speaking, our cars come from the factory with an "Internal" WG; that being the WG is built into the turbine manifold/housing. Did you find a Waste Gate Actuator for $80, or did you find an external Waste Gate?

Waste Gate Actuator (for the stock "internal" WG):

External Waste Gate:

Oh and sorry about trouncing all over your thread.

i found a unirversal internal wastegate for 80$. it was a flatter peice and looked nothing like what we have/use on our cars and i was just wandering if they were aplicable. they look a little harder to install though and psi said they wouldnt fit w/o mod. so bump that idea! i do need a wastegate though for real. i just got my greddy rs BOV, and a turbo xs MBC, but i was told not to put the mbc on until i had a wastegate, so if anyone has one 4 sale...please let me know. i was told to try and find the older style of AGP. someone said they fit a little easier and held up a little better, but i'd for sure take either style!

I've never heard of a "Universal Internal" WG before. Internal WG's by nature are specific to the turbo they are being used on.

Here is an internally WG'd GT12:

it doesn't really matter either way, because you aren't considered a major player in the 10/9s race by those that are init. go ahead and prove them wrong, for some i would be very happy to see it happen. but i don't think it's going to happen. you have your fantasy world here where you're seen as a all-knowing major player, and i've left you alone with it, but for those that are in the race your name is never brought up and aren't a threat by any means.

and i'll call a big fat bull**** flag on 296 fwhp @ 15psi on the stock turbo on a REAL dyno. changing smoothing and correctino factors isn't that hard to do.
Just the mere fact that you are saying he isn't a threat, makes him a threat. If you read your post, I think we can all agree that it is laced with fear. It's too bad because MChat is a nice guy who is doing everything he can to make a fast car. Now you have to come in here to bash him and beat your chest thinking it's not possible just because you don't WANT it to happen.

I think PSIChick needs to shut her mouth, especially since Mike can back up everything he says and all you can do is try to rain on his parade.

Grow up and shut up and stay in your place Ms. PSIChick.

[sm=jawdrop.gif] come on ya'll...lets not disrupt our harmony....psi is very opinionated, but she does know what she is talkin about. however i feel the same about mchat as far as the knowledge, and i agree he is a nice guy! i think they both have a great car, a fast car, and i would love to be on the level of either one. not sure how psi can say that he is not even a threat cause that car is a straight up beast! but i think a little more respect is deff. deserved for both people, both as people and as srt builders/racers. noone needs to shut up cause this is for discussion, but people do need to take feelings into consideration and show a little more respect

Well, PSIchick made a personal attack. She didn't need to mention MCHAT but she chose to. So she should get what she gets. She can always keep her opinion to herself andTHINK before she post. But she chose not too.

She basically called MCHAT a liar when he mention the stock turbo putting down certain numbers. She is nut swinging on the "reputable tuners" for achieving the 9's and that no one other then them knows how to do it.

From what I have seen of her post, she obviously has some oxygen depravation. PRobable needs to pull her head out and get some air.
