Mopar Stage 3
Dealer Voiding Warranty Thread #1
Voided Warranty thread #2
not to scare people, but if you read those threads above, you'll see the reality of what's going on with our warranties. these are not the only examples of this type of behavior from dcx. it's all nice and dandy to say that they can't void anything due to M-M act and all, but the reality of the situation is that they can, and will, restrict and/or void your warranty if they feel like it. once that happens, it's on you to fix the situation, and that costs time and money, which most people don't have to spare.
even if you get it in writting from your dealer that they'll honor your warranty with mopar parts, it doesn't much matter. with any major repair, dcx has to give the final say in oking the work, not your dealership. so while your dealership might not have a problem, it's almost a given that dcx will, and your dealer can't really do anything about that, no matter what they tell you or give you in writting.
so just be careful in what you do and say to your dealership. make sure before you start moding that they are cool with what you're doing, but don't expect them to cover any major reparis if you're modded. and before it comes up, mopar performance is not oem and is considered aftermarket, just like any other company, so no, it's not automatically covered. you have to pay to play as dale likes to say....

Yep, that's why you have a third party or two verify the problem and it's cause and get it in writing from them before taking it to the dealership. This way, if they or DCX tries to fight you on it, you have other expert opinions on it and have a strong legal case against them if it goes that far. What ever you do, never back down and always fight for your rights or you will loose them all together. You will have to be viscious and on the attack, because I can guarantee that they will and the first one to give an inch will be devoured.
