this isnt about this normal thread but i still have a ?.....im getting the cold side pipe thats supposed to be from modern performance.....its complete with everything i need to install w/ flange and bov. now how hard of an install is this thing. i was told that the rubber groumet that the whatever sensor fits into on this pipe is too small for it and popped out on the previous owner at around 20psi.....so i need some ideas on how i can fix this problem....also i believe its the tourbonetics pipe but not quite sure...anyone know what other pipe it could be and if it is turbonetics then how good of a pipe is this and will it make a diff. without having the hotside just yet?

You might try a hardware store and see if you can find a new grommet. OR you try using the stock cold pipe grommet and see if it will work.

The install is pretty straight forward. If you can take the stock off, you can put the other one on. Should take about 15-20 minutes if it came off another car.

I suggest that you install the pipe to the FMIC first. It's the biggest pain. Then connect to the TB. IF it is a tight fit, run a damp rag around the the FMIC tube and TB and it will help it slip on.

TB = Throttle Body.

It a very straight forward install. The only issue will be for where you pull the vaccumn line from for the BOV. In a tight squeeze to make sure things are running right, you can run the BOV line from the stocker to the new BOV to test it all.

I assume you have a block off plate for the stock BOV right? That will be the most difficult part. Its easiest to remove the WGA to get the stocker off since that 3rd bolt in the rear can be a nightmare some times. Install the block off plate.

IF you have the stock air box, it will need to be removed, remove the stock cold pipe, remove sensors from the stock pipe, install the new pipe, reinstall the sensors, connect the bov to vaccumn lines.

Test drive the car to make sure the BOV is working, then retighten the clamps on teh UHP after abotu 50 miles once they have settled in.

Boost leak testing the system would also be helpful since some of the couplers don't always "clamp" down correctly and you may have all the clamps tight but still have a leak.
