$250 fora "chip"? wtf??? lol don't waste your time. get stage 1 if you're going to do anything. and if you're that warranty paranoid, don't mod, it's as simple as that. EVERYTHING you do has the potential to restrict your warranty, mag.-moss act or not. that won't protect you in the real world....

 

dang, for the cost pick up a used S1 or save your money and get S2

 

woo guys calm down, i havnt done anything just asking some general questions, i already talk to my dealer and they said if i paid them to install the stage one that they would cover me. i also asked if they would put it in writing.. just asking if they can tell what u do from the computer.

 

You better get that in writing and notarized, many dealerships may claim one thing and then if something comes up they'll say that they said no such thing and then quote you the Mopar Performance disclaimer that says that the part has no warranty and is also not covered by the cars warranty either.

 

or just install it yourself and they won't know the difference anyway and save the $300 they'll charge you. it takes 10 minutes.

 

ah there it is PSI chick, thats what i want to know.. so i buy the thing and install it myself.. now somthing happens later on and i need to take it to the dealership. if i take it off will they know i had it on? thats my question.

 

no they won't. even if you leave it in most dealerships are too stupid to know the difference anyway. dodge dealers i've found really aren't qualified to work on our cars, they have no idea how to.

 

i 2nd that psi....i have not taken my car to one dealer that knew more about the car than i do and thats pretty sad cause i dont know too much about these things
