N2MB Racing: 10.32 @ 134 today!!!
That's the nice thing about Az... tracks open year round
Of course, times really suffer during the summer, even running at night...
It'll be interesting to see what the N2MB car does when it comes back out of Darrell's shop in a couple of weeks. My guess is it'll be deep into the 9's.

i thought that arizona had "dry" heat? i know it's still hot and all, but at night i thought it would be ok? around here it's the high humidity days that kill us at night in the summer....
It's still 100 degrees even after Sundown during the summer. It's not uncommon to have density altitudes in the 4500+ range (track elevation is 1250) especially in July. This time of year DA is sometimes below 1000. If it takes any longer to get my car back together I may have to add some dry ice and methanol into my water-air aftercooler tank in order to combat the heat
Hey Mchat, did you ever run at Las Vegas's old dragstrip? Talk about sucky times. I ran there quite a bit when I lived out there. Crappy air. High heat and actual altitude of about 2100 ft. Everything ran about 3 tenths slower than what they would somewhere else. They had just built the new "strip" about a year before I moved back to Mich. I never did get to run on it but did get to see the big boy Top fuelers run finally. They never could at the old track 'cause it didn't have enough shut down area. Anyway, the new track is awesome but I'm sure the air still sucks.
Congrats N2MB!
Congrats N2MB!
I live in MD and there is a track out here called capital raceway and I ran 13.6 in my 1st gen dsm and just by going to a different track i ran 13.2. Big difference just because some of the tracks around here are poorly maintained.
