no supposedly the factory bolts are already strong enough. they've been there for about 8000 hard driven miles and no problems yet-knock on wood

You all do understand that the factory designs mounts to AVOID vibration for a reason, more than the fact that most people don't want vibrations. Vibrations cause parts to wear out prematurely andbreak. The engineersdesign the cars for well thought out reasons. Unless you're planning on racing the car ( at the track ) I can't imagine any reason for installing solid mounts.The inserts do take up some of the slop in the factory mounts and while some people may say their a waste of money, the fact is they do help without causing other problems.

^i have never heard it quite put it this way, but its a good perspective, since its not really a 'race car' but its a daily driver. cant forget that

i'll take vibration and a little wear and tear over wheel hop any day. the stock mounts on our cars were not "designed" for us at all. they are the same mounts that are in the regular neon. so there was no thought put into them at all, they just used what was there.
