If it has turned into solid bumps then it is not brake fluid, brake fluid would have burned off or evaporated. I have no idea what this fluid could be then.

that's what I thought - not brake fluid. ?????? I wonder what the heck it is - some has burnt, and it almost looks like glue of some sort.

Dont even bother with anything at all get that baby to the dealer and make them fix it. If you wreck your car you will have alot more issues then a bad ABS or what ever it may be. IMO of course. But keep us posted im curious as too what it is. Good Luck I hope it works out for you.

just a thought, but if it's not stopping and the rear brakes are smoking, it sounds like it might be a bad proportioning valve (that splits brake distro btn the front and rear). let us know what you find out.

Feels like a bad proportioning valve. Going to the Dealer tomorrow - We'll see. I'll post the results. Man am I tired of driving intermittently bad brakes(This car occasionally forces me to drive fast and I have no say in the matter[8D]).

unfortunately, I have to wait two more days. I had to attend a couple of business meetings this morning and now I am going in saturday to meet with the head tech.

going in tomorrow to see the district manager and have the fluid sampled and tested.

we'll see. At least Dcx is on it now (on the dealer more specifically)
