Next Friday I'll be going to the track.But first I want to do a tune up to my car.Wich oil should I use and how many quarts do you guys usually use?I'm also gonna change spark plugs but dunno wich ones to get and should I gap them?if so does anyone know how to and what kinda gap should i go for?

 

I use full synthetic oil. Its great and I've been using it from day 1. As for the plugs, I use Denso Iridiums ITL16. You can get them from sparkplugs.com
they come pre-gapped. good luck at the track.

I might also change the tranny oil and filter, I'll be putting in a maddog sts this week

 

4.5 QTS. Use Royal Purple Synthetic and yes Iridium plugs are the best.

ATF+4 .. and that LSD additive (get from the dealership)

 

Mobil One 5W30. Almost 5 qts.
Autolite Iridiums, I dont have the # handy. Got em at Napa....
Redline C+ trans fluid from Lane Automotive. Change it every year. 3 Qts . I do not add any friction modifier to this 9 + dollar a quartsyntheticfluid. Shifts 10x better than stock. It is the only synthetic that meets the ATF+4, 7176 yada yadaspecs. It is the shiznit. Get some.
This and a drop in K&N and I pulled 242 fwhp on my stage ZERO all stock 2004. Of course I'm old and a mechanic so dont listen to me.
