Default Engine Noise.....help

OK...so I did and oil change to my car about two days ago.I used Mobil1 Synthetic 10-30 i think and I also changed the thermostat to 160 and MMs.But now i keep hearing this tapping noise coming fromthe engine. It's kinda hard to tell where its coming from...looks like around the headshield or something. You guys(girls)think it might have something to do with the oil?

well, first thing is that our injectors are loud. Make sure its not the injectors that you're hearing. Secondly, is it really a tapping noise? or just a rattle? The heatshield is prone to rattles, especially if you removed it once before.

I did remove it...and doesn't sound like a rattle.I've never noticed the noise before, just after the oil change and all the other crap.Did I use the right oil?I'm pretty sure thats what I used last time and I think it did the same tapping noise for like a day and then it went away.

I've used Mobil 1 10W-30 and 5W-30 with no change in the engine noise for two years now.........
