Idunno if you have to have a cat in texas butI would think you would. emissions are getting stricter these days! but also having the cat will help quiet the sound just that little bit. all depends on what ur looking for. all out race, no muffler no cat (loud) streetable, cat and muffler (not to loud)or somewhere in between.

 

why do you guys worry so much about emissions and crap???I got full 3' all the way back.No cat..no resonator..nothing.I drive by cops everyday and they don't even look at me.If you guys worrie about that..just buy the 02 housing and a dp with a cutout.You'll get faster spool and sounds like a beast.It's not supposed to make much diff with the stock turbo, but with a bigger turbo you'll deff. need it.

you are supposed to have a cat in any state tho some states are more strict like california. its not cuz of the sound its cuz of the emissions.

 

ya ill prolly just be safe and run with a cat so what DP and Exhaust system should i get that will be pretty loud still from MAXX FAB but will sound good? and allow for upgrades later

 

why not get a maxfab o2housing and the needswing dp with cut out.that way you can keep you stock exhaust

actually go to needswings.com....they have a few sound clips there too and thats where they sell the dp.they also sell the electronic cutout....so when you are just driving you can have it closed, when it'stime to race you open it up and unleash the beast.
