and in regard to this thread, i find it hard to believe you are
doing this all on the stock turbo, since it is only good for 350hp.
how often do you break axles? what kind of rollbar do you
have? (to be track legal at 11 or 10 sec.). im sorry, but most
people who are knowledgable about these cars will have
difficulty believing you. we are throwing a texas srt-4 meet
in houston in january. if you want us to believe you, be there.

I'm wondering what's so hard to believeabout a ten second srt-4. They do mid to high 13's from dodge. Dropin that down to low 13's, 12's, 11's or 10's is not that hard if you know what your doing under the hood.</P>

I can't believe i'm catching all this flak over a blown tranny! I don't know who started the 350 hp limit on the stock turbo unit. But i love to be told i can't do something cause it feels so good when i do it an rub it in! A turbo unit is only as good as the air flow getting to it and leaving from it(That's why there is 3 inch CAI's and 3 inch down pipes compared to the stock, READ:CHEAP set up). And it takes more than a rollcage to be legal under 11 or 10 seconds. And i have heard rumors about a houston srt-4 meet, but i see its a go now. I will be there, but my car is down till a tranny shows up, depending on how fast my dealer will work on getting one in. Oh by the way i did a dealer trade on my srt-4, because i wanted a red one with a sunroof(actually i wanted a yellow 04 but i messed around to long and it was sold before i made up my mind i even wanted a srt-4, from alvin dodge.)that is a pic of my car as it sit on the lot.</P>

 

ALL right all you nick pickers on here. Don't get mad cause my srt-4 is hotter than yours, get even, cause you can't get ahead of me! Second i was raceing my self at the track, yeah i had it all to myself, if you think i'm lieing than ask Kenny. Kenny who you ask, then you've never been raceing at the houston raceway park if you don't know Kenney. The guy watched me grow up on that track and knows every car or truck ive ever raced there .<IMG src=smileys/smiley36.gif border="0">

 

I didn't really want to participate in this thread (other than to make SRTGURL blush, lol) but I suppose I'll speak up in Andybuzz2u's defense. </P>


I don't find it hard to believe someone has a 10 sec SRT. From what I understand, SRTGURL only has around $1500 in performance upgrades and she's getting mid 12's. It's a car with a ton of power from the factory and it's more than stable enough to handle a lot of upgrades. If you know what you're doing and you got the $$$ you can take that car to a whole 'nother universe. I know if I hadn't bought mine from my ridiculously rich friend, I'd probably be looking at an SRT that's as fast as his Viper (9's). Besides, I hardly think anyone would make up this whole story about breaking down and what not (and be that descriptive) just to impress people anonomosly. So all in all, I believe it can be done - and probably has. All I know is I aspire to have mine in that range someday, and that's all that matters to me. I don't mind if someone gets itdone it before I can.</P>
