Default Painted my SRT-4 letters under the hood

I decided to paint my letters on some plasic under the hood because I had nothing better to do tonight. Originally I was gonna spray it but as soon as I had put all the tape on it, I saw it was never gonna work out, so I just kept the tape on, but I didn't finish putting it on

Then I got a brush and started using it, but then I saw it was to big. So I got a Q-tip. That worked fine.

Here is the spraycan I used:

I used some rough paper to polise most of the red of it:

Then I cleaned around the letters where extra paint exidently went with WD-40:

My first mod, hahahaha, already got afermarket headlights and just got my Tein springs. I'll insert them this weekent, and ofcoure pics of that too. Then I'm planning on getting the CLK-style rearlights and a BOV. That's my plan for now, maybe later some nice rims and Stage sumthin'!

just curious, couldn't you take the injector shield off and then paint it? I guess it was easy enough with it on the motor. I' thinking of doing mine now.

Looks good!!! BTW that "thing" you used is usually referred to as a "Q-Tip".

it does look good in silver and looks like u took the wing off, NICE!! from teh pics u need to clean your whole engine bay.. it looked dirty.. also go to modernperformance.com and at the bottom of the page that have niteshades.. get two cans of that and spray your rear lights and that'll look way cooler and is cheaper, so this way you save some money on other mods..

I've had mine off for over a year, I've been waiting to paint it since the letter paint flaked off from the heat. I just wonder if it will be a never ending cycle of the paint flaking and having to repaint it every year or two. I thought about going with silver, but the red will fit better with the color of the car and parts under the hood.

Yeah Dusty I was wondering if he meant the Q-tip? Ha Ha.
Yeah my letters started flaking a while back and I hated the way it looked and I was considering painting them but I just sanded all the red off and left it a stealthy looking flat black. I do like how the silver looks though. I may still paint mine.
