Miss
I have a '05 SRT. It seems to have a miss or stumble when I floor it at 2600 in 5th. Are these motors sensitive to having to be up on the turbo? Are these cars hard on plug wires? I have changed plugs. Also note that when I am in lower gear I have no stumble. Plus boost guage goes to 11#. Have different BOV. Any thoughts would be great
You changed the plugs, but did you change the wires? The #4 wire, especially the stock one, is notorious for ,well, falling apart. When I went to remove the stock wires and put on some aftermarket ines the #4 wire fell apart in my hand as I was removing it.....
Also, flooring it at 2600 rpm in 5th? Why don't you downshift?

I must not be really pushing my car cause my wires are fine and their stock. I plan on gettinga new MSD set anyway at some point.

2003 and early 2004 (like mine)modelshad the #4 plug wire running VERY close to the turbo. Later, they put angled connectors on the wires and solved the problem to a degree. I'd still go with the MSDs because they deliver more juice to the plug......

i had my stock wires replaced under warranty (1st attempt at fixing when my tps &wires went). ill replace with MSD wires when the time comes but they are fine for now. how many miles do yall usually go on a set of wires in this car? i never noticed that not all SRTs had the #4 wire different. i noticed it was the only one on mine that had a 90 deg. bend in it, but thought nothing more of it. but looking at where the turbo is it makes sense now.
