AFR's
When I am at WOT in 3rd gear I am leveling out at 10.6 or so. Haven't done 4th or 5th yet because I don't feel like getting a reckless driving ticket. I know the best would be mid 11's, so does that mean I am running too rich? What are the dangers of running this rich? Is there a way, aside from a fuel management system, to balance this out? Would upping the boost help any?

So I had a chance to do some WOT 4th & 5th gear pulls this weekend and my AFR is showing 10.0 exactly. If I was to adjust my wastegate to hold about 17psi & spike the boost via MBC to almost 19psi, would it lean it out? I guess my question is does adding more boost lean it out any? I imagine it would, but I also figured spiking 17-18psi and holding 16psi like I am nowwould run me leaner than 10.0.....
it will lean it out, but that's not how you want to go about doing it. there's nothing wrong with a 10.0 a/f. if you want to lean it out, do it properly. now if you want to raise the boost to make it faster you're perfectly safe to do so, just watch your a/f's in ptb
I know that is not the ideal way to lean it out, I just don't have the cash for any type of fuel controller and don't really want to mess with a mapclamp. Guess I'll just up the boost cuz I can at this point. Was looking at the Apexi SAFC Neo though, that thing looks pretty sweet!

at cruising speeds running 14.5-15.0is perfectly normal. as long as you get a quick lean spike and then it goes back to a rich situation you should be fine. it's when you see extremly lean situations (15.0 or so) for a semi-extended peroid of time that you have issues.
