SRT4 BOOST CUT PROBLEM
my friend just got an srt 4 imported from the states im in peru, im an american who used to have an srt4 in miami, when it got here the same importers stole the wastegate and the stock purge valve soo the guy fited an impreza GT turbo wastegate and anuled the wastegate solenoid and installed it like a normal wastegate turbo psi to wastegate,andfor anow had the whole purge valve system anuled andis runing withoutany reroute valve/blowoff, the car is sooslow when it gets to 10 psi it starts tosort of fuel cut but nothing hard and if he putsenough load on the engine the check engine light starts blinking then turns off(not enough time to get acode out of it)his mechanic says its because it doenst have a blow off but im almost sure its the waste gate and the anuled solenoid can any 1 help me hehe, should i tell him to get a stock srt 4 wastegate?
well starting off with the right parts is always a good idea. if the check engine light is going on then a code is being thrown and it can be retreived with a obd or on the odometer. that would be a good place to start.
well when the engine is underload the check engine blinks but then it turns off and when i try to get the code out of the odometer nothing comes out it only says done then goes back to the trip, is thier some sort of safety measure that comes up when the waste gate solenoid isnt working?cause if thier is im certain that this is the problem with the car
well there would be a major problem. get the proper wga, hook up the lines correctly and take it from there. the car isn't going to run right if it's not set up right. remember, the ecu's job is to protect the car. if it thinks that anything is wrong that could cause serious problems it's going to protect itself.
