Default ticket for exhaust

I was driving home this morning and got pulled over for my exhaust being to loud and I told the state dick that it was stock and I did nothing to it and then he still gives me the ticket and also one for my license plate being in the front window. WTF . Anyone else have this stupid **** happen to them. I wasn't speeding or anything he just pulled me over cause he could.

lol....i've gotten 2 exhaust tickets...and Im not mad at the cops because my exhaust is loud as hell!!!but if your running stock exhaust then take him to court or just call one of those lawyers and they go to court for you, you'll prob. end up paying them 35 bucks.

I havn't gotten any ticket yet, but the cops have pulled me over because of no license plate in front andtinted windows in the front. The tinted windows in the front is against the law here, stupid laws.

round here the only way we can get a tind window ticket is if the front windows are limo tint or something...other than that its fine.Im getting mine done today, darkest tint i can find in the back, and front windows a bit less dark

I almost got a ticket for my exhaust and boost gage from a Alabama state trooper. It was stock exhaust at the time. I pulled out the manual with the pic on the front of the rear of the car. And I showed him the section in the manual on the boost gage and he didn't give me a ticket for either of them. He apologized for wasting my time and let me go.

Boost gauge?? What did he say was wrong with that? I have gotten out of my 2 tickets Only by luck though. one was a parking ticket an a managed to catch the cop as he was writing it, I was like if I leave right now are you still gonna write me the ticket? he was a nice guy and let me go! Didn't say a word about no front tag but he prolly never noticed! the other time was running a do not enter sign at a certain time (Stupid) and the cop was waiting! He was definitely gonna write me a ticket for the violation and not having a fronttag but.... He dropped my license down the console of his cruiser. LOL. he let me go! He said he would mail it back to me when he got it out.I continued down the street to my buddys house 30mins later the cop shows up and gives me my licence back and says have a nice day! I was like sweeet! Neither one said anything about my exhaust(3in nomuffler), but I was just cruising so maybe that's it?

Cops aren't all a bunch of SOB's, we just get sick and tired of pulling dead and seriously injuredchildren and babies out of preventable car accidents and safety issues. As far as tickets go, a police officer has to show the Chief of Police that he earns his pay since the Chief often reviews the dispatcher log and sometimes the radio log as well. This sometimes means writing people up for "minor" violations, especially during slow periods like on a Sunday or holiday. During busy periods, minor infractions are normally overlooked, and attention is paid to DWI's, domestic disturbances, crimes with a weapon involved, etc.
There are a lot of citizens out there that want the maximum output of their PD for the tax dollars they pay. That's what it really all boils down to.

Given the choice, I'd much rather park at Dunkin Donuts!!!!!!!
