Hey whats up everyone. I am pretty sure im going to buy an srt-4, I wanted to see if you guys could help me out by telling me somet things to look for when i check them out. i will be buying it from private parties so its hard to trust whatever they say. Please if you could tell me anything to look for, or anything to ask. that would be awesome.

Thanks everyone!
thats not helping!! ha but anyway, i want to spend around 11. i have seen a couple for 9 which are pretty interesting. but i have found nothing yet. thanks for the reply tho
I would look for one that had an oil catch can and also upgraded plug wires. The other thing would be a service record with oil changes (be sure they used 100% synthetic oil) and a tranny fluid change around 11K-13K miles. You'll also want to check for boost leaks.

Most of the ones that cheap have higher miles. On auto trader the average is around 17k and if you can get one with low miles for under 14k you are either getting ripped off like something is wrong with it or you just got a really good deal. Just be carefull with the ones that are that cheap. My personal experience is you pay for what you get.Not saying all of the cheaper ones are messed up just look out.
^^^buy a honda??? I hope you are kidding....anyways, I just bought my srt-4 about a month and a half ago....I found a bunch online at cars.com for around $14,000 but they all had about 40,000 miles on it. I wasnt looking for a car that had that many miles on it, because i know how fun a SRT-4 is to drive and im sure the previous owner didnt go easy on it. Plus i read that the car starts to go bad around 40,000 miles....im sure that is not the case or there wouldnt be a bunch of 03-04s on the road. I was lucky and found a 2005 with 4,000 miles on it and had stage 1 done to it. I had to pay a little more than i wanted but it was well worth it. Now I get to start from scratch and upgrade it with what i want on it. If i was you, i wouldnt expect to find a good srt4 for less than $15,000. Im sure that isnt want you want to hear right now, but hey maybe it will save you some trouble and alot of maintenance in the future.
