Race him/her and let us know what happens. You should win. Pressure cooker is right though, they are about 0.4 seconds slower in the 1/4 then the srt-4. It would take a ****ty driver to loose to a cobalt ss/sc.

 

Now what about the new cobalt that is coming out. Its turboed with like 230hp and 230tq. Sport compact claims it "The best FWD car to buy"

I agree. Every year cars get more powerful and powerful. 400 hp use to be a crazy amount like in the 1st Gen Viper. Not anymore.

 

Even that Pontiac G8 is packing quite a punch for power. Putting the new challenger in its place!!

word. back in the late 80s/early 90s, the average lower end car had about 90 to 110hp. now unless its a bare-bones car it rarely has less than 150-200hp. hell, i see so many regular 'sedans' advertising over the 200hp mark. while they arent always as 'quick' as you would think they would be, they certianly beat my first car, 89 cavalier. it had a whopping 90hp rating when new and did 0-60... yes, it DID 0-60

 

My friend and I both have srts mines stage 2 but anyways we were out crusing and a guy in a cobalt ss stage 2 pulled up next to us and wanted to race so we did my friends car pulled about 4-5 car lengths and i had probably 6-7 lengths

 

dodge should come out with another srt4 and blow away the new competition

 

I dont think they can. PT crusier has the same engine the SRT4 has and so does the caliber. Its like Acura still making RSX.Civic would be sold alot more than RSXs. It pointless. Just wait though. They will come out with another great low priced small compact car.
