i had a open down pipe on for like7 months and i hated it. it was so loud and made everything in the car rattle! but i did not notice a thing different in power with the open DP and the full turboback i have now. i was told that and read that it makes your car faster cause thats why all these people buy that one DP that you can just open with a switch befor you go to the track and then close it when your done!

shouldnt as long as the cat is still there, for back pressure reasons, but once you pass the cat its just like having sraight pipes or turn downs.

i thought that turbo cars didnt need that much back pressure? i was told that it spools faster when you run a open down pipe! all i know is i had one on for a long time and it didnt do anything to my car! i would think if you didnt even had a down pipe at all and you were running right off the turbo , then yea that would seem bad. but i know alot of guys that buy that one DP you all like ! its the one with the switch that you can flip over why you are at the track! now my ? is why would they make somthing and have a cut out on it so that you can run it at the track if its bad?
