Welcome to DF!!! Is your "handle" an indication of what you drive?

Hi guys & gals. New to this board. Just bought my first pickup. 2003 Dodge Dakota 4X4. It seems to have a giant magnet that pulls me to a gas station every time I pass one. Every other day I'm putting in gas, and I really don't drive it to much. Is the Dodge truck noted for being a gas guzzler or am I just imagining poor gas mileage? Thanks

Well as of right now a '03 F-150 FX4 Now don't be to hard on me because the next truck I will own will be a hemi 4x4. I have been a long time ford man but in the last few years ford just can't seem to keep up in the HP war and just last week I got my A@@ handed to me buy a hemi and that was the last straw. I've allways liked the dodge but just never took a good look at it untill now. So with that being said I'll be going to dodge for my next truck. Now all I have to do is make up my mine if I'm going to do it this year or next year. I would love to have the 6.1 hemi so thats why I'm thinking next year.

Outstanding!! I love hearing about Ford people coming over to Dodge... So since you are converting... I won't be hard on you. LOL!!

I guess I'm another convert. I traded in my Chevy truck for a 2004 Quad Cab 4X4 and have no regrets. My Hemi pulls my boat with ease with better mileage than I thought (Yes I know mileage and Hemi should not go together). Currently the only mods I've made is a Volant Cool air Intake. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks I will install a set of JBA ceramic headers with a flowmaster to complete the exhaust system. After that I just waiting for a programmer to tweak the performacne levels....Any other ideas for performance? I'm also considering the remote turbo from STS turbo systems, but I understand their having problems reprogramming the computer to except the boost.

Not sure what you're getting for mileage, but I have a 2004 Quad Cab 4X4 with 392's I have been averaging 14.5 around town and my best highway mileage achieved was 18.4 which I just logged in today. The only modifications I have is a Volant Cool Air intake. I also converted to Amsoil synthetic at 3K miles. Currently I have 7K on my Hemi.
