Hello from the Viper Nation
I've just joined this forum and have enjoyed reading the posts from Dodge enthusiasts. I've been the editor of VIPER Magazine for six years and have had a lot of fun meeting Dodge, Viper and Mopar fans around the country. I'm looking forward to posting a lot on this site and if anyone has questions about the Viper in general, I'llbe happy to try to answer them. You can also reach me at ed@vipermagazine.com or visit the web site at www.vipermagazine.com.
Thanks again for the warm welcome.

Amanda,
Thanks for the warm welcome. I'll keep that advertising offer in mind.
To answer your questions, there are a lot of claims out there as to who has the fastest Viper. Right out of the factory, the most you can expect is about 180-190 mph. Also, it can run the quarter mile in about 10 seconds bone stock.
The fastest "official" Viper is the SVSi twin turbo which made some timed runs at the Bonneville Salt Flats last year. They got their Viper up to a shade over 246 mph.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the welcome Matt, Mitzi and Karen. I'll try to post whatever I can here as there's some pretty big news coming soon from the SRT people. We've also got a few Vipers involved in some important races over the next month (Tommy Archer won the World GT Challenge series this year in his Viper Competition Coupe.) I think thanks to the guys at SRT, it's a good time to be a Dodge fan. And, as I said before, let me know if you have any questions.
