I just bought two Neons (his and hers) not our first either, we like them and have never had any problems in the past. The reason I've come here is that I was researching whether or not a V6 could be dropped into a Neon? Well of course one of the only sites I found mentioning the Neon and a V6 was at a Tiburon(sp?) message board. It cracked me up... there were 9 pages of posts about the Tiburon owners racing their V6's against the I4 Neons! Pathetic whiners! They brag how they can blow away a regular Neon but need a "boost" to stay with the SRT-4.

No, I'm not planning on modifying my Neon (SXT) yet... not until the warranty is over and I've done some research. This is My first new car... my wife has had a few but I've always drove used... so thats where I'm at with this. I'm interested in learning what can and cannot be done at this point... and saving my pennies and dimes for when I'm ready.

Not yet... but I'll try to get a couple, one before and one after the stripes. I'm curious to see if it will be a waste of my money for the stripes... My son has a 02 SXT also, its in storage while he's deployed. As you can tell, WE really like the Neons, not to mention we got an awesome deal buying two at time.

Welcome to DF!!! Those Tiburion owners need more than a "boost" to beat a SRT-4....I looked at them and test drove one before getting my SRT-4. The room inside is really tight and the car itself is too heavy. But, different strokes for different folks.....glad you got the Neons!!!![sm=smiley20.gif]

 

You missed one huge fact about the Tiburon. IT's BFU.

 

Heavy/ugly....kinda go together.
