Howdy
Name's Nate and I'm sure you can guess by my post count that I'm new to these forums. I'm 26 years old and live in South Texas. I'm mechanically inclined (for the most part, hah) thanks to my dad who's been a mechanic for UPS for most of my life as well as to this day. I'm a small business owner primarily focusing on mobile computer repair. Network engineer by trade, full-time daddy by day and part-time jackass by night (some nights).

I recently acquired a '96 Dodge Ram 1500 V6 Magnum for the low low price of $500, I just can't pass up a deal on a truck that looks so good and clean inside and whether it runs or not. Rebuilt the tranny and bought a new converter only to install everything and find out the rod bearings were so far gone it was beyond any machine shop's help. So $850 and several weeks later I've got a new shortblock and re-machined heads which I assembled and dropped in about 2 days ago. Happy to report everything is running very smooth and sounding great. Next up is tint & alarm and a serious audio system while I break the engine in for a few thousand miles. After that it's forced induction, though I'm still debating whether to go supercharged or turbo... have experience fabbing up both but with all that room under the hood to play with I just can't decide. Suggestions welcome.

Thanks Midnight. Love those lambo doors, they make those for a '96 1500 by chance? I always choose performance over looks when putting money into a vehicle... but damn those are nice!
