Default new guy on the block

Hi everyone, I currently own a 2004 quad cab 4x4 with the famouse Hemi ticking sound. I notice the noise is less about the time I need to change my oil and then when I put new oil in the noise is at its loudest. I have not felt any lack of power from the phenom but it pisses of the wife. If the cam or lifters were bad you would have either back fire or total lack of power, I wish there was an anwser from Dodge on this one!
