Hey guy sayin' hi
Hey guys, I'm back to Dodge again after ten years! I had a 1980 Dodge Ramcharger with the 5.9 and 727 torqeflite.
My new rig is a 2008 Ram 1500 Big Horn Quad Cab with the 4.7, and I'm loving it! I sold my 2004 Rubicon and 2006 Saab 9-2 and made my new Dodge my new daily driver.
First thing's first, I need to do some research, the owners manual is spec'ing 5w20 for the 2008 4.7?? Seems way too thin! Any insight on that?

Welcome to Dodge Forum!! My 2008 Ford F-150 with the 4.6 V8 calls for 5w20 synthetic. Synthetic holds up to heat better and the thinner oil will give a little better gas mileage.
