Default cutting out

I have a 2003 durango 4.7L that when I start it first thing in the morning or after working an 8 hour shift it will run fine for a few seconds then start cutting out to the point of dying. It will die but acts like it is going to. I have noticed that it runs a little rough as well. We have done a complete tune up on it other than coil caps. Does anyone have a suggestion where to start?
