Default New to Newer Dodges

Hey everyone, I just bought a 99 Larime 1500. I live in Ohio and drove to NJ to pick it up for 3500. Its a 5.9 auto with a factory limited slip. I know old Mopar but not the new stuff. I've always driven Jeeps but since totaling my big XJ on a trail I've hung up my wheeling for a while. So, I hear these trucks have junk trannys, is this true? Mine shifts fine and fluid is clean, should I be saving for a trans soon? I'll be adding a big cooler on as well.

Also, The guy started to lift it and put five inch lift springs on back and never finished the front. Of course dude lost the front parts. So, anyone use those lift blocks on front springs? Or, can I use 2500 or diesel springs to pick it up? Thanks

No spring spacers huh? It can never be the easy way. Has anyone ever used 3/4 ton front springs before on a 1/2 ton? Is it possible?

Just read that article, they're talking about leaf sprung front axles. The rams are coil sprung and the spacer is attached on top of the spring.

Well don't I feel like a dumb ***!

How high do you want to go? 5"? I don't think a spacer is going to work.

I'm really only wanting 2-3 inches more up front and leave a slight rake to the truck. I'm not real into the level look.

Thats what I figured was a spacer. Anyone know how they ride? I bet not very well since the spring is being compressed even more.
