Hello from the new guy.
Hello all I'm from upstate NY and I'm the owner of a 2001 Dakota Quad, SLT, 4.7L, 4x4. I've owned Chryslers since my first car purchase in 94. 1st car 81 Aries k, then an 82 Horizon, then 92 Shadow, 73 roadrunner, 92 Spirt, 96 Interpied, 99 Cheeroke(Dailmar-Chrysler) and currently the 01 Dakota (and the roadrunner). I've been watching the Ram Mega Cab XXL closely so hopefully I can add that to the list in 06......
Summer days the roadrunner is my perferd mode of transportation so I guess that makes the Dak my "winter rat" even though it's one heck of a truck. Other than that I'm a car nut and huge Mopar fan at heart and hope to learn and share info here with fellow mopar nuts!!!! Happy Posting all!!

RE: Hello from the new guy.
I live in New Hartford just outside of Utica and the car I've had it for 10 years and have loved all 10...
The car was origanally red w/white stripe and had 220,000 on the odometer but the body was solid so I was sold.
Since then I've repainted it PPG LemonYellow w/a black stripe and dropped a 340 in and a posi rear end. The 340 is a 4 barrel bored .030 over, it has a holly double pumper and a 3,500 RPM stall converter with a manuel shift kit. Yes it's an automatic that you have to shift....currenty it has three gears looking to put in a forth with another kit if possible. Also just got an MSD box wired in and it was the best $200 bucks I ever spent... the engine roars with life now!!!!
I haven't touched the interior since I bought it but this winter 05 I might do it over in black and yellow funds permitting!!
Here are some pics ......

RE: Hello from the new guy.
Hi mopartodd
Daisy Drove a 74 (which is basically the same and partlly the reason I painted it yellow, go dukes) for the part off the first season then they took a 71 and added the stripe kit from 73-74 to go half way through the second season which Bo and Luke Drove it off a cliff.
I think the reason they killed off the runner was because the Jeep shows off the "Daisy Duke" shorts better......[sm=drooldude.gif] so I guess I can't blame them for that........ long live "Daisy Dukes"
