Default New to the forum with a question

Hi guys. I am new to the forum and have a question. Can you put a turbo on your car and just run 2 of the 4 cylinders to it?

Thanks

Welcome to the site. Which kind of turbo are you thinking? A supercharger and an exhaust turbo both drive the crank but by different means. I have s MDS system on my Durango that shuts down 4 out of he eight cylinders during cruising, but a turbo or blower would need all cylinders to be effective. I quess you could, but why would you want to limit it,

Default Clarification

Thanks for your input, but I don't think I worded my question very well.

I have an 8 cylinder engine and I want to do dual turbos. What I wanted to know was: Can only two of the four exhaust ports on each side drive the turbo? The other two would go straight to the mufflers.

Don't some 4cyl cars do it like that stock?

Welcome to the forum, I do not think what you are asking is possible.
