Welcome to the site. Which kind of turbo are you thinking? A supercharger and an exhaust turbo both drive the crank but by different means. I have s MDS system on my Durango that shuts down 4 out of he eight cylinders during cruising, but a turbo or blower would need all cylinders to be effective. I quess you could, but why would you want to limit it,

Clarification
Thanks for your input, but I don't think I worded my question very well.
I have an 8 cylinder engine and I want to do dual turbos. What I wanted to know was: Can only two of the four exhaust ports on each side drive the turbo? The other two would go straight to the mufflers.
Don't some 4cyl cars do it like that stock?
