Default Hey

I'm sorta a newbie here. I been visiting this site for a couple of years and just signed up this year. My name is Rob and live in Orlando, FL. Been here for around 40 years. Worked at Disney as a Superintendent for the last 24 years. Lost my job in April and haven't found another one yet. I'm sure something will come up. Florida economy isn't that great right now.
I've got a 02 Dodge ram quad cab with the 4.7. I bought it new in 02 (had to have the 4 door when they came out). Drove it off the lot with 5 miles on it. Had alot of problems with it in the beginning. It was back at the dealer a million times. Really it was a lemon. But after 40,000 or 50,000 miles most of the bugs have been worked out. It has 120,000+ miles on it now. Hurricane Charley back in '04 tore it up bad but insurance fixed it (caved in the door, hood, fender, broke off the mirror and busted out the window from tree limbs).
I'm a shade tree mechanic (don't like people working on my vehicles). Hopefully I can help some people with the problems with these trucks since I've been thru most of them it seems like. I like all the big 3's trucks but I've had mostly Dodge trucks. I traded in a great 97 Dodge Ram 4x4 on the one I got now.
I have a 87 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe that I drive everyday. I've had about 10 Montes over the years. I'm a member/Moderator on the Montecarloss.com site.

Here is a pic of my 97 I had. I put a 2000 front bumper and grill on it.

And here is a pic of my Aerocoupe. Been doing some work to it getting it ready for paint. It used to be white.

Sorry to hear about your job dude
nice Monte I'm not a big fan of the aerocoupe though
I had a 86 ss with 2 blown engines later I added a 383 crate motor from jegs. a few months after that Chicago cop pulls out in front of me with a squad car raining at night no headlights nothing on totaled both cars. hit me on the side flipped me over I took off his front end and spun him into a light pole behind the passanger front tire. I miss that car though lots of room for me at the time.

Thanks guys. The Monte only has 95,000 miles. I just primed it flat black this past weekend. I've got more comments from people about how good it looks in the last 3 days than the last 6 months. I might leave it flat black.
