Just thought I'd introduce myself as a newbie to the forums. I have a 89 Dakota with 153k on it and I've never had any problems out of it whatsoever. It has had a dropoff in HP in the last few years, but that is to be expected. Anyways, I look forward to getting to know y'all.

Dakotas are made from the same company that makes Mercedes. Doesn't suprise me at all that you have high milage and it's still chugging. Welcome.

WELCOME!!

Matt - I don't believe the 89 Dakota had any Mercedes influence... that's good old DODGE POWER keeping that baby moving.

Dodge is apart of Chrysler and Chrysler is apart of Mercedes. Anyways, go Dodge!

'89 was before the Germans put their mark on Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth like Amanda said. Maybe they had some Mercedes stickers on the vehicle!!!!
