Default Another Newb From Texas

...

Hi all. New to the forum.

I currently own a 2003 Mach 1 Mustang that I drive about half of the time and that I run at the drag strip and a red, restored '78 CJ-5 that I drive the rest of the time.

I just purchased a red Power Wagon last week. It is supposed to be delivered tomorrow (05/14) afternoon and I'm about to bust. I'm not going to sleep a wink tonight.

I live in Amarillo, TX. I went through a local dealer and my truck is coming from a suburb of St. Louis, Mo ... the closest one the dealer could find. I had no idea these things were that scarce.

I'll post some pics when I get her home.

Welcome, you won't make too many friends with the Mach 1 (I have a 95 GT) but the people here are great. Your Jeep is sweet, enjoy the site.

Welcome to DF. Glad to hear you bought a Dodge. What kind of times does that Mustang run?

I'm convinced the Mach 1 is a low 12-high 11 second car. The problem right now is I'm a 47-year-old, high 13-low 14 second driver.

I've been practicing though.

I did get to pick the truck up this morning and she does not disappoint !!!

Here's the pics I promised:

I picked her up on Saturday morning. She hasn't been off the pavement yet. Thursday morning I'm going to the Northern New Mexico/Southern Colorado Rocky Mountains flyfishing. Near the Spanish Peaks if you are familiar with the area. I'll have a few opportunities to get her feet wet then.
