Default Whats crackin?

Whats up all?

New here and thought I would say hey.

36 years old, and I drive a 99 Dakota R/T. Has a little work done to the 360ci and hits around 340hp. Should be able to get a little more once I put a chip in it and replace the 600 holley with something a little bigger.

I didn't build the truck, I bought it like this so any tips on making it a little faster would be great. It has an eddy 4 barrel intake, forged crank, rods, cam, polished heads, roller rockers and a few other little things like hooker headers and flow masters.

Because I am not a builder I am basically going on what I was told by a buddy that I bought the truck from but I am here to learn more.

I look forward to my stay here!

Thanks all!

This is my first Dodge and went against everything I was looking for in a truck but I had to have it. I wanted power windows, locks, crew cab and 4x4 lol
Not a Dakota single cab with no bells and no whistles, lowered and rear wheel with a cap on the back to boot. Hard to lug lumber and dirt bikes around but thats why they made trailers ha

I dig this truck and my old lady HATES it so its ever that much better because she won't ask to drive it.

When you say chip, do you mean something like JET?

If so get rid of it and buy a tuner.

Next step would be headers I think.

I'm not sure what chip the performance guy was talking about but I will look into it much further before I get it done. I understand that some are just hype and nothing more.

The truck has Hooker headers already so the entire exhaust is no longer an issue.

I have been doing some research and have been seriously looking into installing a turbo. They can be pricey but aside from opening up the motor it would be the best way to add a little more power. More air more hp right?

You will need to port the cylinder heads if you go with a supercharger or turbo to maximize the air flow,

Any idea what the price tab on porting and polishing might be or if its something I could tackle on my own. I'm a tradesmen so I have some mechanical back ground. Is it something I could do or something better left to the pros?
