Really great to find this forum. I especially liked the link that TruckXpressions provided for 10% off. Used it today and the guy on the phone was very helpful and personable. Great prices too. I will post some pics once I complete the exterior mods I ordered today.

I have to admit it was hard deciding to ditch Ford though. My first truck was a 92 F-150 5.0L XLT and it served me really well. Really nice power from 60 to 90mph. Then I had a 99 Expedition 4.6L XLT, and while the drive was very smooth, the engine plain sucked for performance. This is ultimately what drove me away from the new F-150s. If they had upped the basic 4.6L or made the 5.4L more affordable, then I would probably have stayed on course. But, at the end of the day, when it came to paying $19k for 345hp or $27k for 300hp, it was pretty easy to decide. And I do like the new Titans, but my past experience with their XE really disturbed me. If it can build a good track record, it will do well based on its specs and nice interior.

The only complaint I have about my truck is that the computer seems to over-compensate a bit too soon when hitting bumps at speeds of 45mph or more on the interstate. And the interior could have been more stylish (but that is easily upgradeable). Other than that, I love everything else about the truck, especially the kick-*** engine.

Oh yeah, for those of you who haven't seen it, check out this video (not mine), its great:

Well, keep on enjoying. My diehard chevy step-brother has also left his brand to become a Mopar man. The last chevy he bought he called a crapalier instead of cavalier. He even had a custom windshield decal made for it, check it out here:

Lots of people are mentioning the handling aspect and overcompensation. It just seems to me that the folks with the 20's mention it more that ones with 17's.

Anyway, Welcome and enjoy the site.

71RoadRunnner, that's a pretty funny pic. You couldn't pay me to drive a GM/Chevy vehicle. Not that I have anything against their build quality, just their design is so conservative and boring.

Well, I think you may be on to something. I have suspected for some time it has something to do with the rear lift on the 1500's frame and the clearance the 20s provide vs. the 17s. This is something Dodge should probably have paid a little more attention to in R&D. If you look at the SRT-10s, they lowered the truck almost 1"1/2 in the front, and almost 3" in the rear on 22s. Unfortunately, it appears that I will have to purchase a lowering kit to achieve better handling.
