Default Question on truck and tranny

I am looking at this 1998 Dodge Ram Quad cab truck. It is 2wd and has 87,000 miles on it.. I applied for a loan at a bank today and if the loan approves, which it should, and the truck is still there, Ill be getting that.. Just want to know anyproblems these trucks have, like how good are the trannies? I would prob add a tranny cooler to help keep it alive for the longest time... ANything else I need to look at and make sure it would be a lemon or break on me in the next year?

Default RE: Question on truck and tranny

My '98 Quad-Cab never gave me any problems.. I traded it at 74,000mi for a new '04 but it was a solid, reliable truck. Here's a link from my old Favorites.. It's a "recall list" for the '98s.. These things should've been taken care of in previous years but, if you're buying from a dealer, it may be good to print out the page and make sure everythings up to snuff...
