Another NOOB here...
Hi all, my name is Dave, and I live in Scottsdale AZ. I just picked up my 2005 Viper SRT/10 on Friday, and really have enjoyed this car until last night that is. Had a bit of a mishap. Apparently there are some issues with the differentials on these vehicles, and mine is no exception. Got a very alarming and loud clunking noise from the diff yesterday at speeds, actually sounded like a Jake Brake on a semi truck! Had to have it towed to the dealer. Still waiting to hear the prognosis. Other than that, I love the vehicle, and hope it is ready for the road soon.
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks for the welcomes
Well the prognosis so far is.....there are four dealerships accross the country that shows in the computer that they stock the diffs. Whether or not they acutally have them, and or if they would sell to my dealer at warranty cost is another story. They have classified my car as VOR (vehicle off road) which means it is a priority. The estimated timeframe is indefinite, and quite irritating. I hope they can pull a differential out of thier hats. I will be very dissapointed if it takes longer than a week
They will give me an update later today......

Hello Dave and welcome to DF.
I hope they get that Viper back to you soon however I went through your gallery and I must say that is an immpressive collection of black beauties you got there[sm=smiley20.gif]!!! (and the silver Porcshe is nice too). That only leaves me with one question---- How does one decide what to drive with a garage like that?

Thanks 73RR, It's not too tough actually. Firstly, the Porsche went away last fall, got bought back due to maintenance issues. Though it was a great car/truck to drive. The H2 is mostly driven by my wife, she sells Real Estate in N. Scottsdale, no streets for now, and lots of dirt. The Viper is my "weekend fun" car and the E55 is my daily driver. Sometimes we switch between the H2 and E55, days off and such. She really likes the big truck though
Hey guys, wanted to update you. My Viper is fixed and back on the road. I picked it up yesterday after work. They got the diff delivered and installed in 4 days! It's parked in my friends garage so I wont take it out again till next weekend. Cant wait
