I just traded in my 94 camaro and $1000 for my new truck, Its a 97 Dodge Ram Slt 4x4,Regular Cab, 8ft. Bed, With the 5.9 Liter Engine, Oversized Tires, Brush Guard, Bed Liner, etc..Im new to the truck world and I have always wanted a Dodge so I got one even though my dad and girlfriend are all about "ford" but not me im all about the Dodge. I was wondering how much HP and Ft.Lb Tourqe it has, I know the new 5.7 liter Hemi has around 340hp. The only performance mod. i have did was a K&N air Filter, so if you counld help me with that i'd apreciate it. The exaust looks like it is stock but when you look under the truck there is no muffler, its sounds really nice but its not dual exaust its just a single pipe with no muffler, can that hurt the truck?or what should i do?, and i was wondering how much do 2, or 3" body lifts usually cost?, thanks for the help and its raelly nice to now own a real truck a Dodge!..

Yes Welcome....I too am a newby to this form. The 360 is a great motor no sure on Hp ratings but do yourself a favor you have opened up the intake now open the exhaust it will really make a difference. I have been an long time fan of dodges and have owned a few in my life Including a 76 powerwagon with a stroked 360 this was one tough truck Dana posi in the rear and all time 4. short bed to boot.. It was like having a mule that would never quit....So sad it was totalled after a freak accedent...Ya see this for PU turned in front of me and i kindda Tboned it..My frame was good but my cab was shoved into the bed by 2feet. So insurance company totaled the truck the was in 1989......What a shame....still kicking myself that I did not buy it back.
