New Guy in NE Ohio
Hey Guys & Gals... My name is Miguel and I live in Boardman, OH which is a suburb of Youngstown. I'm pretty new to domestics having driven German cars for most of my adult life.
I have a pair of 2008 Mopars. A Brilliant Black Pearl 300C SRT-8 and a Sunburst Orange Pearl Caliber SRT-4.
What got me moving to Domestics was a sense of conviction that our nation's industries are in trouble and as an American I should support what is built here. That said, I'm still adjusting a little. I've had Audi's for many years, and in fact I still have three of them which I'm gradually selling off.
The late-model Mopar stuff feels good and drives awesome, it's just the interiors that are a little bit of a shock to the senses, but I still believe that what I'm doing is the right thing. I would like to eventually buy a brand-new Challenger so that I really can contribute directly to Chrysler's bottom line, but for now my two SRT's will have to do.
I do love the way these cars drive, and I'm an avid hot rodder. The cost of upgrading American cars is much lower. I'm going to do the Vortech supercharger and the SLP long tube headers with their resonated stainless steel exhaust on the SRT-8. I already ordered a Mopar Stage 1 PCM for the CSRT-4 and a set of the elusive discontinued Mopar sway bars for it.
I bought the SRT-4 to be my driver, but it only has a little over 7k on the clock, so now I think in the spring I'm going to look for a Neon to do the commute in. I just can't bring myself to kill the CSRT-4 with a ton of commuter miles.
I'm excited about becoming part of the online Mopar community. Thanks to the site mods for having a place like this for everyone to hang out.

I'll have to post some up to Photo Bucket. It's my roommate's truck. It's a really nice truck. It has the Vararam intake and a Hypertech chip. It's a beast. The Daytona's have the Borla exhuast from the factory, so when the intake went in it really turned into a beast. Sounds really good when you tromp on it.
