Hi folks,
Well I'm new here. I just picked out a 2007 Ram 1500 4X4Quad/Hemi. I take delivery tonight and I am looking forward to spending time browsing in this forum, that is when I find time to sit in front of a computer, instead of playing with the new toy. Hope to get lots of info about this beast and what pitfalls to look out for.

Alan

Hey all cool people.
Just moved in to the US (CA)from Sweden, we came in t´he 3rd of december -06, we made a big move over seas and we didnt take any furnitures at all, i sold pretty much everything i had, we packed around 20 moving boxes and shipped them via air the same day we flew out, we came in at SF airport and had a huge shipment of boxes that we had to move before 36 hours from the hangar, so the debate of renting/buying a truck started, my wife wanted to rent one, i wanted to buy one. Of course i won and i went to the used car lot and picked up a -96,5.2, 2wd, slt laramie with 70k miles on it, we used it for moving and now we´re using it to pick up random furnitures here and there, i had some bad luck with a bad cat converter that i had to replace and pay for myslef (tried warranty) but other then that,i´m pretty happy with my Ram, we dont have the manufacture importing them to sweden at all.

Anyway, that was a long hello, hope to get a lot of use of this forum!

I'm new, but not new to Mopar vehicles. Every vehicle I've owned has been Mopar except for VW Beetle back in the early 70's. My current one is a 2002 Caravan Grand Sport, 3.3 Flex Fuel engine, power almost everything including passenger door, VHS video player (would rather have had a DVD one), etc... This replaces a 1999 Voyager that was recently wrecked. I've had a '92, '95, the '99, all Voyagers, and now this '02. All have had the 3.3 engine. I've not had any of the problems I've read of other with this engine or automatic transmission, all have performed flawlessly with only normal repairs needing to be done.

I've also owned:

1951 Chrysler 2 door Sedan

1953 Dodge Meadowbrook Station Wagon with flathead six (wish I could find another I could afford)

1955 Chrysler 2 door HT with Hemi Engine

1967 Dodge Dart GT 2 door HT

1980 Dodge Colt (loved that car) with the two speed axel

Well, all I can say is I never thought I'd own two Dodges being a GM fan, but now I do, along with a '66 GTO and '77 Chevy 4x4. I have owned a 2001 Dakota for a couple of weeks now, and really like it. I hope it turns out to be more reliable than theEletrical-problem plagued2001 Caravan I also own.

Anyway, this is a great forum and I have already used it to diagnose problems with the Caravan.

Talk at ya later!

Hey y'all. Just found the site today. Lookin' forward to finding out valuable info on new purchases. I've done a lot of things to the appearence of my ram, but not a ton of performance. Eventually I would like to either supercharge or twin turbo my ram, but I don't have the money right now. I've put an Aries Bully Bar and PIAA lights on the front, along with Angel Eye Halo Projector headlights, Alteeza LED taillights, Pacers LED 60" tailgate light bar, Pioneer Bluetooth deck, XM radio, K&N FIPK cold air intake, FloMaster 40 Series muffler. I would also like to add a dual exhaust system to my truck. At the moment, I'm looking into a 6" lift kit and some mud tires, maybe some Super Swampers. If anyone has any suggestions on what works and what doesn't, let me know. Thanks.

Sorry about the pic. It isn't really that recent, therefore my head lights aren't on there. I'll update. Let me know what you think.
