Hello to everyone! I'm new to this board and new to Dodge. I'm looking to pick up a 2004 Ram 1500, 4.7L, SLT,quad cab, short bed, in either light or dark gray or posssibly red. I'm so excited that I can't even sleep or eat. After extensive research, I decided on the Ram 1500 after driving it, for a second time, tonight. I thought I was sold on an '04 F-150 until I was able to drive the two back-to-back...the Dodge truly shines!!! I would have picked it up tonight but unfortunately my wife is out of town until Friday. I am getting one heck of price...1% below invoice plus the $2500 rebate!!! I'm looking forward to being part of this board. <edited><editID>kevinmcdade</editID><editDate>37907.9890393519</editDate></edited>

a few more plus' for the dodge over the f-150....it will start reliably, and the transmission wont fall apart after 5000 miles

...DRIVE <U>CAREFULLY</U> THIS TIME</P>
I wasnt so lucky as to be able to say "almost toalled" when i tell the story lol 6500 bucks in damage! just because the engine was in the front seat. overpriced mechanics. LoL</P>
I do drive carefully now. ive already spent 5000 in repairs on my intrepid because i was dumb enough to drive a little too fast on a road that was....well...not as fast...and another car was on my side of the road! :O spun sideways and hit the rear drivers side tire on the curb, 5200 bucks after the frame was straightened. no tire wear and still handles like the day it was new. THAT was luck!</P>

Hello,I'm obviously a newb. I am 28 and am Mopar or no car with few exceptions. I have a 71 Plymouth Roadrunner with a 440 and A727B Auto. transmission. It's Gold Leaf Metallic with black and charcoal vinyl interior. The paint, chrome and interior are all original, but the engine and transmission aren't. The 440 is bored 30 over with a hotter than Magnum cam, Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, Holley 750 Double pump carb, K&N filter, MSD Blaster 2 ignition coil, Accel 300+ race wires, Mopar Performance electronic ignition, Dynomax Ceramic coated headers, TTI 3" dual alumnized mandrel bent exhaust with H-pipe, Flowmaster 50 series mufflers, Mopar Performance light weight starter and viscious fan package. My 88 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z has a 2.2L Turbo II rebuilt and bored 30 over. The A-555 Getrag manual transaxle has been rebuilt as well. It only has the Mopar Performance computer,MSD Blaster 2 ignition coil, Accel Super Stock wires and a K&N filter. My 99 Dodge Neon R/T has the 2.0L DOHC and 5-spd. It has the Mopar Performance computer, chrome header, cat-back exhaust, cold-air induction w/K&N cone race filter, stiffer motor mounts w/Rex inserts and bobble strut. It also has an MSD Blaster ignition coil, MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor wires, APC strut tower brace and Auto Meter electric oil pressure and volt gauges in a pillar pod. As you can see I love my Mopars.
