[QUOTE=beetlebz]

then i realized id never be able to drive past a gas station, although i could get to one in the snow, and get all my friends there with me LOL i drive about 150-250 miles a day, i eat up gas like it was going out of style! so the 2.7L trepid motor seemed a little more fuel efficient lol

Acutally, for the size of the truck, the fuel cell is relative. I usually get about 150-200miles on the highway in the first quarter tank, then the rest kinda just seems to get sucked right out of it, but not too aweful bad. Now...the size of the tank is about 29 gallons. When one does the math, I get about the same milage as my Jeep, 98 Wrangler w/4.0 I-6,did. That was one of my justifications for getting the Ram. I figured for a little more per month in vehicle payment I was getting a whole lot more vehicle that was more feasible than fun.

What do you do for a living? I rack up somewhat similar miles with what I do....Military Police. Hell tonight I had an AWOL escort down to Norfolk International and upon return to Post that trip alone was 70 miles, then, when you add the rest of the mileage to the equation, I ended up with around 96. That would have to be rather close in average for an 8 hour shift. Then add in the round trip figures to and from home, blah, blah, blah...

Any way, the only difference I seem to notice is that I can go an extra couple of days before having to stop at a pump. The intitial shock of filling such a large tank 'about dropped me, ($35.00-$45.00) depending on area and type of fuel available, but it all averages out.

Welcome welcome!!

I LOVE manual trucks.. but my auto Ramis my baby. LOL! I didn't have an option (bought her used) but she can still burn those tires...

Hopefully, with a few more mods, you'll break those tires loose... LOL! Daytona Shelby sounds bad ***!! Do you have pictures?!

Welcome! Tell your friends and stick around, this place is a great place to meet your fellow Dodge gearheads!

I wish I had pics of the Daytona. That car was the one that I had wanted when I graduated High School. One of my friends whom had been out of school for a year before me, came with her boyfriend to my graduation party, and he had a brand new off the lot, white and silver Shelby, with tan leather.

It was the nicest car that I had ever seen. Mine wasn't so nice, but it was still fast. I boughta 1989, black and silver, with tan cloth interior, and the t-tops,used with the hopes of restoring it. But life has its way. I needed something more practical, and ended up having to sell it. I made a killing on it though. I got twice as much as the beast was worth and it had 125K on it easy.

I AVERAGE about 200 a week. but ive been known to do my 200+ mile days. makes for some toasty mileage reimbursement on my paycheck
