Default new guy

Hi
I just found this forum and am eager to learn more and perhaps add some of my experiences with Dodge Cummins trucks.
After starting with an old 64 D100 318 auto, which served me well many years but was awfull hard on my butt, I bought a new 93 Dakota 4x4, auto 318 and found it worlds ahead of the old D100. Some years go by and I have a chance to drive a 94 2500 Cummins 4x4 and had to have one so in 01 I special ordered my first Cummins, a 2500 4x4 quad cab short box and loved it but found it had some built in issues ie. bad lift pump and a '53' block. Never had trouble in the 104k miles I had it with the block but I did have a lift pump fail but caught it with my fuel pressure guage thus saving the other weak spot the vp44. With a chip by Edge at 93k miles I found the other weak spot the Torque Converter sooo $3000 later I've got a 'built' transmission that works great but I got to looking for a bit newer and heavier truck to pull my 8.5k toy hauler so I traded and now have a 2004.5 3500 Laramie 4x4 Quad cab long box. I look forward to enjoying this forum, Gerry
