Default Another New Guy With Problems!

Excellent site, glad I found it!

I have a 2001 Ram 1500 4x4 that is giving me some problems. Symptoms:

-Starts and runs very smooth, then idle will drop real low to almost stalling and then rev real high and drop to normal. Engine will do this a few times and clear up. When driving, engine will loose power and start popping thru the carb. Engine can be reved up at any time to clear up. Symptoms seem to go away when engine reaches full temp.

Already changed: plugs, cap, rotor, wires, pcv, down stream o2 sensor.

Appreciate any help I can get. I dont want to just keep throwing parts at.

Are you getting any codes? {check engine light?} , you may have a fuel filter going bad, causing a drop in the injector pressure, it could also be a vacuum leak, but thats not as likely if it clears up. need more info

I did get the code for the down streamn O2 sensor and replaced it. Reset the the computer, but the truck is still acting the same as it did before the O2 replacement.

Thanks
