Default 04 Dodge 2500 pinion nut

Im trying to get my front pinion nut off my 2004 dodge 2500 HD Hemi. I have read in some places that the nut size is 1 5/16 Thin wall but even in thin wall it doesnt fit in the hole. I know that most of everything is metric on my truck and I was wondering if anyone knew the exact size I need so I dont waste a bunch of money buying sockets. Thanks

Welcome to DF
Do you know which rear axle assy you have? 9.25,10.5,11.5 or the 248RBI? Some of the nuts are 1 1/4 or 1 5/16.
