I've been searching these forums for some help on deciding weather or not to buy a 98 Durango from a buddy for little or nothing. He is not mechanical and just wants the green antifreeze river to leave his driveway. Besides the cancer (tailgate, rockers, bumper, driver door, etc...), I think it has a bad rear frost plug. It has had two frost plugs on the front replaced already. One on each side. The truck has about 140,000 miles on it. Just looking for a extra car for the kids for a couple years but I don't want a big money drain. I'll most likely replace the rusted out body parts (junkyard/Rockauto) if the frost plug takes care of the leak. By the way these forums rock! Is there a how to on dropping the tranny to access the frost plug? Any advise would be welcome.
