New member-Paducah, KY
Good evening. New member from Paducah, KY. We are a Mopar family, on my wife's side. Several Cherokees for her parents and brother, one Dakota for her dad, a 1st gen '93 Ram for her dad, Chrysler SUV for her mom. For us, wife has a '93 Stealth she bought brand new and we still have, and a '02 Durango we still run. I just let my '95 Ram 1500 4WD go after 200,000 miles. No transmission issues till about 170,000, unlike many other trucks of this vintage. It was VERY reliable. I t-boned a car with it at 40MPH in 2001, totaling it. I bought it back and rebuilt it, and got another 90,000 miles out if it. 4WD stopped working, and transmission began slipping again, along with the dash starting to crumble (probably after-effects of the wreck) and the rest of the interior going to crap. Couldn't depend on it for duck season this year, so I decided to junk her out and go for another truck. Father-in-law wanted to sell his '93 W-150, with only 56,000 original miles, so I bought it and am back in a Ram again.
Long-winded intro, but hi folks!
This truck needed a little body work, which is now done. Also had the bed rino-lined, and the paint from the body work was mixed in, and it turned out a great match for the truck. Picked up some used Al rims and put 31 x 10.5 tires on it. Cleanup shop spent 2 days on the interior-wife's dad would sit in the truck and smoke a lot, and I don't think it had been cleaned in 10 years. Also has some burns in the seats, which are the 2 bucket seat option with the storage console between. I figure I will put seat covers on, and pick up some nice floor mats to protect from the outdoors. Will also add a tool box and a sliding bed cover, along with tailgate lock. Also looking to do new headers and dual exhaust. I got lucky with this truck; it is in sweet shape, and I should get 10 years of hunting and fishing out of it.
