Hey everyone, new guy here. Ive been around diesel trucks and vehicles all my life. I own a 95 ford 7.3. I am currently in the proffers of buying a cummins 5.9 24v. It needs a new clutch and a little body work. I am willing to pay 10,000 for it. Is it worth it?

 

Sorry forgot to mention it has 163k miles on it, 60hp injectors a larger turbo, aftermarket vp and lift pump, head studs and new head gasket along with port and polishing

 

What's "a little bodywork"?

Sounds like someone mighta gotten tired of their toy...any pics? What year?

If it's in good shape, yeah it can be worth it. If it's trashed, keep looking

welcome to the site i havent been here long either but so far good group of guys ...i like it ..

and for 24 valve ,,,the moneys in the tranny,,if its shot then it aint worth it..buy the motor for 5k and put it in a nice looking truck rather then spend twice the money in the end...i stay away from body work ,,thats a nightmare ,,,if theres no blowby ,,and the tranny is topnotch theres the truck right there ....jmo
